According to data released by the American Staffing Association, USA staffing companies
employed 1.4% more temporary and contract workers per week in 2018 than in 2017, with a
whopping 16.8 million hires, setting a new record since the ASA started running these surveys
in 1990.

This trend is only expected to keep growing as “Job seekers in record numbers are turning to
staffing agencies to help them find work that will advance their careers and best match their
skills with current market needs.” according to Richard Wahlquist (ASA president and chief
executive officer).
